Parallel Metaphor for Families and 1:1 Adult Learners

The same YY forest/fantasy metaphor can support families and 1:1 adult learners with graduated seriousness, but the Home Edition surface should privilege families. Kids enter through wonder and quests; parents through co-learning; individual adults through personal AI literacy and reasoning. Team and organization training remain outside this surface so the public domain does not drift corporate.

Freshness
Permanent

Permanent. The metaphor may mature, but the thematic thread remains load-bearing.

Capture

The same world should support families and 1:1 adult learners, but with graduated seriousness. Families enter through YY forest, fantasy, quests, badges, and shared victories. Individual adult learners can enter through personal reasoning, AI literacy, advisory patterns, and durable decision systems. The metaphor should remain continuous even as the learner matures.

This creates a "trojan horse" in the benign sense: adults come for serious AI literacy or personal 1:1 training and discover a structure that also lets them bring their families into the learning journey.

Why

Most AI training splits the world into professional upskilling on one side and children's STEM activities on the other. The operator's insight is that AI is becoming a family-level literacy and an adult personal capability at the same time. The same household may need both.

A parallel metaphor lets the system scale:

The seriousness graduates. The thread remains.

Why-Not

Why not use separate brands for family and 1:1 adult learning? Separate brands would be cleaner in the short term but would lose the through-line. The core differentiation is that the same method can serve family learning and individual adult reasoning without turning corporate.

Why not drop the fantasy layer for adult learners? Dropping it entirely would make the adult surface generic. The fantasy layer can be toned down, abstracted, or made more symbolic, but it should not disappear.

Why not keep the metaphor only for children? Adults also need metaphors. A good metaphor compresses complexity without dumbing it down.

Commit

Decision: The academy will use a parallel metaphor across family learning and 1:1 adult learning. YY forest/fantasy remains the thematic thread. The tone and seriousness graduate by audience and context, but Home Edition does not become team, organizational, or corporate training.

Confidence: High.
