Build Reusable Visual Assets Instead of Recreating Them

Build reusable visual assets instead of asking the generator to recreate settled work.

Freshness
Active

Active. Revisit if regeneration becomes more reliable than preserving approved visual assets.

Capture

Each new scene initially recreated characters, rooms, props, and wardrobe.

The workflow repeatedly solved appearance problems that had already been solved. Time was spent recovering continuity before any new narrative work could begin.

Why

Fresh generation appeared flexible.

Every scene could be optimized independently without maintaining a formal asset library or carrying forward previous constraints.

Why-Not

Independent generation reopened every visual decision.

The project accumulated finished clips but not reusable capacity. Production cost grew with scene count because earlier work did not reduce later work.

The scar was learning that disposable outputs prevent compounding.

Commit

Decision: Preserve successful characters, environments, props, wardrobe, and compositions as reusable production assets.

Each approved asset should reduce the number of decisions required by future scenes. The library should grow into a visual vocabulary rather than a folder of past outputs.

Once assets become durable, creating them and directing them can no longer remain one undifferentiated task.
