The AI may misinterpret:

• a temporary thought;
• a hypothesis;
• a joke;
• a failed experiment;
• a teacher’s conditional statement.

Why-Not

The rejected path would make require Human Authority Over Durable Memory too easy to treat as an implementation detail instead of a public boundary. The ADR preserves the tradeoff explicitly so later product work cannot silently widen authority.

Decision: Material memory writes should be visible and correctable.

Memory becomes slower but more trustworthy.
